We recently sat down with Dominic Ilochi, Founder & Managing Partner at LUGGAGE4RENTAL. He told us about his new startup and his vision for it. He also shared his experiences as an entrepreneur and provided some advice to those just starting out.

Can you tell us about your business and what you do?

LUGGAGE4RENTAL offers the world a fresh solution – hassle-free, as-needed luggage sharing for the "mobile" era. We provide everyday low luggage rental rates and a hassle-free customer experience for travelers. Our customers are able to choose and reserve their luggage based upon their individual preferences and travel needs.


How did you get into this business?

As an entrepreneur, I’ve always been interested in identifying everyday problems people are facing and then coming up with a solution to fix it and make their lives easier. About a year ago, I came to realize that while many people do need a quality luggage for travel, not everyone wants to buy it for several reasons such as cost, storage space and frequency of travel. Additionally, many businesses offer consumers the opportunity to purchase or repair a luggage but nothing available for rental. I decided to fill that void by offering a luggage rental service that gives people convenient and affordable access to top quality luggage on an as-needed basis – and we do it better than anyone else in the world.

What is the most enjoyable thing about this business?

Helping people travel with more freedom and money in their pocket.

If you could provide any advice to fellow business owners, what would it be? 

Think big but start small. No matter how big your ambition, be patient; Keep your eyes on the price but set small manageable steps to keep making progress and moving things forward. Remember, building a successful business is a marathon not a sprint.
